<p>What is specified is a method for calibrating an inkjet printer (2) with a print head (8) comprising a number of ink ejecting nozzles (10) which can be driven by means of a control signal. In this case, near the time of the intended printing operation, a predefined calibration screen (42) is printed by means of the inkjet printer (2), the value of a measurement parameter characterizing the ink application is determined on the basis of the printed calibration screen (42), and the ink ejection quantity (29) per dot is calibrated by adapting the control signal using the determined value of the measurement parameter.
