PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide proper data which dispense with a lot of measurement time, which enable obtainment of a high-precision measurement result, and which are required for subsequent processing.SOLUTION: Casting sand is charged into a container for housing the casting sand. The percentage of moisture content of the casting sand is decreased within a predetermined range by supplying hot air. After the casting sand is vibration-compressed, an electrostatic value of the casting sand is measured. The electrostatic value is converted to LOI% by being computed on the basis of a basic electrostatic value of a pre-calibrated sand component, and data are output. It is utilized for processing in the next step on the basis of the data. |
