<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an ink mist elimination mechanism with a relatively simple structure.SOLUTION: A duct 13, in which a suction port 14 is formed on a surface facing a recording medium 6 and an exhaust port 15 is formed in a region where a cooling fan 20 suctions air, is provided in a carriage 10. Thus, air in the duct 13 is suctioned from the exhaust port 15 by the cooling fan 20 thereby causing air around a recording head 12 to flow into the duct 13 from the suction port 14. Therefore, even if ink mist occurs when an ink is discharged, the air drifting around the recording head 12 and including the ink mist is suctioned by the duct 13. In other words, the cooling fan 20 is utilized to eliminate the ink mist and an ink mist elimination mechanism is realized with a relatively simple structure.</p> |
