PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a positive electrode for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, capable of stably suppressing an abnormal heat-generated state associated with overcharging, without deteriorating battery performance; and a nonaqueous electrolyte battery.SOLUTION: A positive electrode 102 of a nonaqueous electrolyte battery includes: a positive electrode collector 102a; a positive electrode first layer 102b formed on the positive electrode collector 102a and including a conductive agent and a resin having a benzene ring in a structure and deteriorated at a preset high-voltage; and a positive electrode second layer 102c formed on the positive electrode first layer 102b and including a positive electrode active material, a conductive agent and a binder. The resin in the positive electrode first layer 102b is deteriorated, so that the electrical connection between the positive electrode first layer 102b and the positive electrode second layer 102c is cut off. |
