Disclosed are an image adaptive unstructured personal information extracting method for preventing information leakage, and an apparatus for performing the same. The image unstructured abnormal personal information extracting method comprises the following steps: determining whether or not an input image is a scanned image or an photographed image; performing image processing corresponding to a result of determining the input image, and extracting an area corresponding to a document from the input image; searching for an area in which the title of the document is positioned in the area corresponding to the document through template matching for the area corresponding to the document, and determining the type of the document included in the input image; and extracting personal information included in the position corresponding to the type of the document. Accordingly, the image adaptive unstructured personal information extracting method is provided to effectively extract unstructured personal information included in the image, thereby improving the performance of an information leakage preventing system. |
