An apparatus for designing a high voltage direct current transmission (HVDC) system includes an HVDC system operation information obtaining unit which obtains the operation information of a prior HVDC system from a control part of the prior HVDC system; a design specification obtaining unit which obtains the design specification of the prior HVDC system; a design requirement obtaining unit which obtains the design requirement of the current HVDC system; and an HVDC system designing unit which designs the current HVDC system based on the design specification of the prior HVDC system, the operation information of the prior HVDC system, and the design requirement of the current HVDC system. |
