The present invention relates to a synthetic wood composition which is used as a structure material for a trail, a deck road, an eco-park, and an observation platform and a synthetic wood manufacturing method using the same. More specifically, the synthetic wood composition includes: wood composition power including wood powder and UV absorbers; a raw material composition including a thermoplastic resin; and an additive composition including a lubricant, a colorant, a binder, and a reinforcing agent. The lubricant is powder prepared by mixing cuprous oxide (Cu_2O) which is used as an inorganic antifouling agent and zinc prithione which is an organic antifouling agent with an ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). The present invention can prevent the surface contamination of the synthetic wood and inhibit the activity of microorganisms to slow down the oxidation of the thermoplastic resin and the deterioration of the wood powder, thereby enhancing the weather resistance of the synthetic wood. The present invention can improve value of the synthetic wood as a landscaping material by enhancing the weather resistance of the synthetic wood. |
