PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transport device which transfer a carrier with further safety.SOLUTION: A transport device includes: a carrier which has a thin thickness and a generally rectangular parallelepiped shape and in a side face of which a permanent magnet is embedded in such a manner that S poles and N poles are staggered; a columnar-shaped spiral magnet in which a spiral S pole and a spiral N pole are combined with each at a position facing the permanent magnet; a drive part for performing rotational control of the spiral magnet; and a roller for so supporting the carrier as to be movable in a transportation direction. The drive part rotates the spiral magnet in a direction opposite to a direction in which the carrier is moved when the carrier is lifted from the transport device, and rotates the carrier in a direction sams a direction in which the carrier is moved when the carrier is mounted on the transport device. |
