Embodiments of the present invention provide a channel information communication method and apparatus, so as to select a preferred channel parameter in channel transmission. Provided are a method for measuring and feeding back channel information and a corresponding apparatus. The method comprises: a first network device receives a reference signal, measures the reference signal to obtain a measurement result, and selects a first codebook from a first codebook set according to the measurement result, wherein the first codebook set comprises at least two first codebooks, a subvector Wx of each first codebook consists of zero vectors and nonzero vectors, and the vectors forming Wx correspond to antenna ports in different groups; in each first codebook, different subvectors Wx are formed according to the same structure or different structures; different subvectors Wx formed according to the same structure comprise: different subvectors Wx(1) and Wx(2), the positions of nonzero vectors in Wx(1) being the same as the positions of nonzero vectors in Wx(2); and different subvectors Wx formed according to different structures comprise: different subvectors Wx(1) and Wx(2), the positions of nonzero vectors in Wx(1) being different from the positions of nonzero vectors in Wx(2); and send a codebook index to a second network device, wherein the codebook index corresponds to the first codebook selected from the first codebook set. |
