PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for manufacturing a composition containing a poorly water-soluble aromatic compound, where the dissolution of the poorly water-soluble aromatic compound (component (A) of the present invention) in water is excellent.SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a composition containing a poorly water-soluble aromatic compound includes a step in which the following are heat-treated at a temperature of 100-180°C in the presence of an aqueous medium: (A) a poorly water-soluble aromatic compound; (B) a divalent alcohol; and (C) an alcohol that is at least trivalent.
