PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphite negative electrode material useful for manufacturing a lithium ion secondary battery excellent in both battery properties at a high temperature and battery properties at a low temperature.SOLUTION: Provided is a graphite negative electrode material whose total pore volume of a pore size of 5 to 1000 Å measured by a nitrogen gas adsorption method is equal to or more than 0.005 cc/g. Preferably, a total pore volume of a pore size of 50 to 300 Å measured by the nitrogen gas adsorption method is equal to or more than 0.003 cc/g. |
