<p>Described herein is a method of improving the growth rate, or efficiency of feed utilisation of ruminants, either alone or in combination with a method of reducing environmental impact caused by ruminants. More specifically, described herein is a method of improving the growth rate or efficiency of feed utilisation in a ruminant comprising administering to the ruminant an effective amount of N-carbamoyl glutamate (NCG) or N-acetyl glutamate (NAG) or a functional analogue of NCG or NAG. Also described herein is a method of enhancing the integrity of the intestinal mucosa of a ruminant.</p> |
