PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition having excellent stability of a core-shell structure of a polymer particle and improved rubbing resistance and intermittent ejection property of the ink composition, and a recording device.SOLUTION: One embodiment of the present invention is an ink composition comprising a coloring material, water and polymer particles. In the ink composition, the polymer particles have a core-shell structure having a core polymer and a shell polymer; the core polymer has a glass transition temperature of 30°C or higher; the glass transition temperature of the shell polymer is 50°C or higher; the glass transition temperature of the shell polymer is higher by more than 10°C than the glass transition temperature of the core polymer; and the core polymer includes an aromatic monomer as a structural unit and substantially does not include an alkyl polyol having a standard boiling point of 280°C or higher. |
