PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To grasp the number of devices receiving stream data regardless of connection of a device relaying a stream in stream data transmission over a copyright-protected bus.SOLUTION: A stream relaying device performs authentication for a relay between the stream relaying device and a relay source device in performing authentication between the stream relaying device and a relay destination device. The relay source device increments the number of devices that receive streams by the authentication. At completion of stream transmission between the relaying device and the relay destination device, the relaying device notifies the relay source device of the number of relay destination devices. The relay source device decrements the number of stream receiving devices on the basis of notification.
