During a first step of this manufacturing method, a skirt (12) of the plug (1) is molded, both provided with means for removable attachment to the container neck, and with a permanent retention strip (22) around the container neck, this retention strip being able to pass, by folding, from a molding configuration to an operating configuration in which it may abut against a bulge of the container neck during the first opening of the plug. During a second step, a peripheral break line is cut out in the skirt, adapted so as to be broken during the first opening of the plug. During a third step, which is applied once the second step has completed, the retention strip is folded until it passes into its operating configuration. According to the invention, while the break line is cut out during the second step, the retention strip is prefolded, by having it pass from its molding configuration to a prefolded configuration which is intermediate between its molding and operating configurations. And, during the third step, the retention strip is folded from its prefolded configuration to its operating configuration. |
