<p>Apparatus for obtaining dripping from fryers' scraps &c comprises a cylindrical shell 1 removably fitted with a wire basket 13 or like deep perforated holder for the scraps, a container 5 for water adapted to be boiled by a gas jet 3, a drip collector 8 having a pipe 9 to discharge the dripping into a pipe 10, and a sieve 11 preventing scraps falling into the dripping. There may be provided a condenser 20 on the lid 15, and means for compressing the scraps e.g. a plate fitted in the mouth of the basket 13 and secured to a threaded rod passing <PICT:0371514/III/1> through the lid. The shell 1 may be closed by a plate immediately below the container 5, air-holes being formed in the plate or in the side walls of the shell.</p> |
