<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shock absorber capable of generating damping force as intended by reducing hysteresis of damping force characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: In this shock absorber D comprising: a cylinder 1; a piston 2 slidably inserted into the cylinder 1; a pair of actuation chambers R1, R2 provided with the pistons 2 at both sides; a piston rod 3 movably inserted into the cylinder 1 and having one end connected to the piston 2; a movable partition wall member 4 and moved to change a volume of one actuation chamber R1, R2; and a biasing element 5 biasing the partition wall member 4 to pressurize the one actuation chamber R2, since the partition wall member 4 is provided with an actuator 6 for applying thrust in a direction for pressurizing/depressurizing one actuation chamber R2, the pressure of the actuation chamber R2 can be controlled, and the hysteresis in the damping force characteristics is reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT</p> |
