PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system, transmitter, receiver, and radio communication method that are able to reduce a reception error occurrence rate at the receiver when the transmitter temporarily lowers or stops a signal.SOLUTION: A typical configuration of a radio communication system according to the present invention is that in a radio communication system 100 comprising a base station 102 and a radio terminal 104, in the case where the base station 102 reduces or stops the transmission output of a signal, the base station 102 transmits the signal using a second modulation scheme not involving amplitude modulation right after reduction or stop regardless of a first modulation scheme before the reduction or stop. |
