PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of generating image data, while reducing artifact due to phase contrast.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: selection means which selects at least one set of two pieces of layer image data whose focal positions are shifted by the same distance in positive and negative directions from a reference depth in a sample, from among multiple pieces of layer image data acquired with focal positions at different depth in the sample; and phase contrast correction means which performs correction processing of reducing a difference in phase contrast component between the two pieces of layer image data, on the two pieces of layer image data of the sets selected by the selection means. |
