PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an AC commutator motor in which abnormal wearing of a carbon brush is made unlikely to occur, by reducing an armature reaction and magnetic saturation.SOLUTION: The AC commutator motor includes: a stator including a substantially annular yoke part, a pair of magnetic pole parts which are formed oppositely to an inner peripheral side of the yoke part, and a field coil wound around the magnetic pole parts; a shaft which is disposed in a freely rotatable manner between the magnetic pole parts; and an armature core fixed to the shaft. A winding method of an armature is heteroploid winding. When a magnetic pole part width of the magnetic pole parts of the stator is defined as w1 and a magnetic pole back width is defined as w2, an inequality of w1/w2≥2.8 or more is established. A shape of a curved surface of the magnetic pole parts opposite to the armature is non-concentric with an axis of the shaft, and a pole arc degree is 132° or more. When a shortest distance of a gap generated between the magnetic pole parts and the armature is defined as gand a longest distance of the gap generated between the magnetic pole parts and the armature is defined as g, an inequality of g/g≥1.5 to 1.8 is established. |
