PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nanoparticle-GroEL protein complex in which a nanoparticle structure is stabilized in a ring-shape.SOLUTION: A nanoparticle-GroEL protein complex has a ring shaped nanoparticle structure consisting of a plurality of nanoparticles each having a diameter of 2 nm or less, and arranged in a ring shape in a state where the plurality of nanoparticles are apart from each other in a region of 4-10 nm in diameter, and a GroEL variant including the ring shaped nanoparticle structure. The plurality of nanoparticles comprising the ring shaped nanoparticle structure is included in a space surrounded with a plurality of GroEL subunits of the GroEL variant.
