PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal power source with a simple configuration, while reducing cost and improving robustness.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an AC/DC converter 61 for performing voltage doubler rectification or full-wave rectification on an input AC voltage; and a fixing apparatus 17 which fixes an unfixed toner image formed on a recording material, to the recording material. Two or more kinds of fixing apparatuses can be mounted, according to the AC voltage. The image forming apparatus includes: an input voltage detection circuit 77 which detects an AC voltage; and a CPU 26 which detects the kind of the fixing apparatus 17, and selects voltage doubler rectification or full-wave rectification, on the basis of the detected kind of the fixing apparatus 17 and a result detected by the input voltage detection circuit 77 (S822-S824). |
