PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for an ink cartridge in which ink leakage inspection can be excellently performed.SOLUTION: An ink cartridge has a seal member unit 20, incorporated in an enclosure of the ink cartridge, at a connection part, the seal member unit 20 has a seal member molded out of an elastic material and an outer sheath molded out of a non-elastic material, in two colors, and a part, abutting on the seal member unit 20, of the enclosure is provided with a rib 106, a deposition surface of the seal member unit 20 for the enclosure and a surface opposed thereto being parallel with each other and flat. A manufacturing method for the ink cartridge which is connected to an ink jet printer and used is characterized in that a rib fusion state after deposition is inspected with an infrared ray. |
