摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery monitoring device in which, when a plurality of monitoring parts and a control part are annularly connected by a signal line, the number of monitoring parts capable of performing transmission/reception with the control part in one or another direction is calculated and the transmission/reception is continued with the monitoring part in the direction where more monitoring parts are included, and a battery monitoring method.SOLUTION: On the basis of a second detection signal received from another monitoring part 10-5 connected to a control part 3, the control part 3 calculates the number of monitoring parts 10 from the other monitoring part 10-5 to the monitoring part 10 where abnormality is detected. On the basis of a third detection signal received from one monitoring parts 10-1, the control part 3 calculates the number of monitoring parts 10 from the one monitoring part 10-1 to the monitoring part 10 where the abnormality is detected. The control part 3 then performs the transmission/reception with the monitoring part 10 relating to the number that is determined greater.
