PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a laser welding method of a metal material a pair of metal members are bonded by butting and welding end surfaces of the members, in which laser welding can be performed without requiring precise gap management.SOLUTION: A laser welding method of metal material has the steps of: when a pair of metal members are seen from a side face, forming an acute angle corner part at least on one end part of the pair of butt end surfaces; butting a butt end surface of the one metal member and a butt end surface of the other metal member in a positional relation where the corner part having an acute angle of the one metal member is protruded from the butt end surface of the other metal member when seen from a side face; and irradiating the acute angle corner part of the one butt end surface protruded from the butt end surface of the other metal member with laser beam to weld butt end surfaces of the plurality of metal members. |
