PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single ring line or ring band shape type side irradiation energy device in which an injection beam radiation shape is freely controlled by changing values corresponding to an incident angle of a flux of incident lights and a numerical aperture while using general-purpose optical fibers.SOLUTION: Parallel lights present in a plane in parallel with a section along a fiber axis are made incident into a fiber at a desired incident angle and at the same time the parallel lights are made incident at different incident angles while applying variation to the incident angles thereof, so that a whole circumference single ring line or ring-band-shape radiation light is formed from a fiber ejection end, and a side ejection type radiation can be carried out. Since a whole diameter of the single ring line or ring-band-shape radiation light and a band width of the ring-band correspond to the incident angles of the parallel lights incident into the fiber, it is possible to freely control at the fiber incident side what degree of divergent of the ejection light may be attained. With this arrangement, a fiber operator can hit the ejection beam correctly and easily in compliance with a position or a shape of a target. |
