According to an embodiment of the present invention, a solar cell includes: a semiconductor substrate; a tunneling layer arranged on a surface of the semiconductor substrate; a first conductive area which is arranged on the tunneling layer and has a first conductivity type; a second conductive area which is arranged on the tunneling layer and has a second conductivity type; and first and second electrodes respectively connected to the first and second conductive areas. The tunneling layers include: a first part which is arranged to correspond to at least a part of the first and second conductive areas and has a first thickness; and a second part which has at least a part arranged on the borderline of the first conductive area and the second conductive area and has a second thickness greater than the first thickness.
