The method for producing composite components for the bodywork or suspension of vehicles comprises bonding a fiber-reinforced polymer unit (3) to a metal component (2). The fiber-reinforced unit is produced by cutting a stack of prepregs to size, molding them, pressing the product against the metal component and curing the polymer in the prepregs. The outer layer of the stack contains an adhesive which bonds it to the metal.
