PURPOSE:To operate a facsimile equipment efficiently mode by utilizing a time for the preliminary procedure of transmission, and setting a magnification made. CONSTITUTION:An original 8 is conveyed to a readout position by a couple of conveying rollers 10 and 13. An illumination lamp illuminates the image information surface of the original 8, whose image information is imaged on a photodetecting element 17, such as a CCD, through a fixed mirror and a selected condenser lens 16a or 16b, and then converted into an electric signal, which is transmitted to an opposite equipment through a control circuit. The time when the original stays for the preliminary procedure of transmission after being set at the readout position is utilized to select the condenser lens 16a or 16b. |
