According to various embodiments of the present invention, a method for operating an electronic device comprises the following operations: capturing a plurality of images; generating a background image with a plurality of static objects after aligning the captured images; selecting a basic image from the aligned images, wherein the basic image is selected based on a maximum similarity measurement value of the background image; identifying one or more moving objects in the basic image; and deleting the identified moving objects.
