One or more processors identify an opinion of a second user regarding the subject. One or more processors use the opinion of the second user and the set of data to define a value that corresponds to the variable of the rule. One or more processors determine a course of action to be recommended for the first user. The determination is based on incorporation of the value as the variable of the rule and on the preference of the first user.

1. A method of recommending a course of action, the method comprising:
retrieving, by one or more processors, a set of data based, at least in part, on a variable of a rule, wherein the rule is configured to evaluate a subject based, at least in part, on a preference of a first user; identifying, by one or more processors, an opinion of a second user regarding the subject; defining, by one or more processors, a value that corresponds to the variable of the rule based, at least in part, on the opinion of the second user and at least a part of the set of data; and determining, by one or more processors, a course of action that is recommended for the first user, the determination being based, at least in part, on incorporation of the value as the variable of the rule and on the preference of the first user.
