PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an STED (Stimulated Emission Depletion) microscope apparatus capable of improving usability of a user related to resolution and a time required.SOLUTION: An STED microscope apparatus 1A includes: an STED light source 11 for generating STED light LS; an excitation light source 12 for generating excitation light LE; a phase modulation type SLM (Spatial Light Modulator) 13 for presenting a phase pattern for forming the STED light LSinto an annular shape; an optical system 15A for applying excitation light LEand STED light LSto an observation object area; a detector 16 for detecting fluorescence PL generated from the observation object area; and a control section for controlling the phase pattern. The control section 17a changes the phase pattern so as to change the inside diameter of the annulus of the STED light LSafter the phase modulation. |
