PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for controlling energy consumption in a network node associated with a cell.SOLUTION: A terminal activity monitor 16 is configured to detect a terminal in an active state serviced by a cell. A transmission controller 18 is configured to restrict downlink transmission in the cell, during connection to the terminal activity monitor and a time frame in which no terminal in the active state serviced by the cell exists. During the time frame, transmission is restricted to intermittent transmission of information to support the terminal in the active state not serviced by the cell, to find out the cell. |
