PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dual LC communication light detection adapter which is compatible with dual LC connectors, provides two optical transmission paths, and is capable of detecting leakage light with high sensitivity.SOLUTION: A duplex LC communication light detection adapter 100 includes: an adapter body 105 which provides two parallelly arranged optical transmission paths 101, 102 and has a light extraction hole 104 positioned at a vertex E of an isosceles triangle CDS, whose base is a line segment CD connecting the centers C, D of the two optical transmission paths 101, 102 in a cross-sectional view, and formed to be open toward a vertical direction 103 relative to the line segment CD; and sleeve holders 108 formed integrally with the adapter body 105 to hold sleeves 107 that accommodate ferrules 106 of a dual LC connector. Each sleeve holder 108 has an opening 110 formed to be open toward the light extraction hole 104 over an angular range &thetas; between 30 and 120 degrees, non-inclusive, relative to the line segment CD in the cross-sectional view. |
