PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable optical information reading apparatus capable of suppressing an overexposure phenomenon, in spite of comprising an illumination light source.SOLUTION: A portable optical information reading apparatus 1 comprises an image pickup device 2 imaging a code display surface 90 on which an information code 8 is indicated, and an illumination light source 3 illuminating the code display surface 90 imaged by the image pickup device 2, and reads the information code 8 displayed on the code display surface 90 by analyzing an image in a reading range from picked-up images imaged by the image pickup device 2. The optical information reading apparatus 1 further comprises a marker irradiation part 6 irradiating the code display surface 90 with a marker graphic 9 which serves as reading range. The marker graphic 9 is formed so as to have an aspect ratio of 1:1 at an angle of the optical information reading apparatus 1 when the illumination light source 3 is not reflected in the picked-up image. |
