摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the responsivity of a drive joint to operation even in a state of a roll joint being in rotation.SOLUTION: A treatment instrument 1 comprises: an elongated main body; an end effector 3; a roll joint 8 which is provided between the end effector 3 and the main body, and which is rotatable relative to the main body about a lengthwise axis A of the main body; a drive joint 7 which is provided in the end effector 3 or between the end effector 3 and the roll joint 8, and rotates integrally with the roll joint 8; a plurality of power transmission members 10A, 10B which extend in parallel with each other from the drive joint 7 to the main body; position holding means 13, 14 which hold the power transmission members 10A, 10B in two positions spaced from each other in the lengthwise direction A from the drive joint 7 to the main body; and a shaft member 12 which is disposed along the lengthwise axis A between the two positions. The position holding means 13, 14 hold the power transmission members 10A, 10B in predetermined relative positions spaced from each other in a circumferential direction of the shaft member 12.
