PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a practicability of a shock absorber for a vehicle.SOLUTION: A shock absorber for a vehicle that is installed on a vehicle having VSC function is operated in such a way that, while VSC control is being carried out, an attenuation force characteristic changing unit included in the shock absorber is controlled to cause a characteristic of attenuation force generated by the shock absorber main body to become a set characteristic. While the VSC control is being executed, it is possible to fix a characteristic of attenuation force generated by the shock absorber main body and so a stability of a vehicle in its turning direction is properly assured by the VSC control. |
