PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coupling device that releasably couples tubes of a hall dance pole.SOLUTION: The coupling device 1 comprises a body 2, and a mechanism 3 including a first threaded element 5 and a screw member 7 mating with each other. The mechanism 3 is configured such that force is applied to an interior surface of at least one of tubes 10, 11 by turning the screw member 7 with respect to the first threaded element 5. The mechanism 3 is also configured such that, during operation of the mechanism 3 for increasing the force applied to the interior surface of the at least one of the tubes 10, 11, a screw axis line of the threaded element 5 and a screw axis line of the screw member 7 remain substantially aligned with each other. The invention also relates to a hall dance pole with the coupling device, and a hall dance pole kit. |
