METHOD, COLUMN, AND DEVICE FOR ANALYZING ORGANIC ACID BY MASS SPECTROMETRY

[Problem] To provide a method and a column for analysis by mass spectrometry with a liquid chromatograph/mass spectrometer in which an organic acid is retained, separated, and eluted without adding any nonvolatile substance to the mobile phase nor restricting the proportion of a water-soluble organic solvent, and can be detected with high sensitivity. [Solution] This method for analyzing an organic acid by mass spectrometry with a liquid chromatograph/mass spectrometer is a method in which a column packed with a hydrophilic polymer having anion-exchange groups is used and a water-soluble organic solvent/water mixed solution is used as the mobile phase. The column, which is for use in liquid chromatography for organic acids, was obtained by packing a hydrophilic polymer having anion-exchange groups into a liquid-chromatographic housing constituted of a polyetheretherketone (PEEK) resin.
