PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can suppress the occurrence of image defects when the consumption of buffer in the correction of fan-shape deformation exceeds a capacity assumed in advance.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes a line buffer 51 that temporarily stores image data so as to perform correction processing for correcting distortion of an image to image data and store the image data in the line buffer 51. The image forming apparatus then forms an image on a recording medium on the basis of the image data subjected to the correction processing. A CPU 50 determines whether or not the size of image data when the correction of distortion is performed with a first correction value based on a fan-shape deformation correction seed value exceeds the line number of the line buffer 51, and when determined that the size exceeds the line number, derives a second correction value obtained by correcting the first correction value. |
