The present invention aims to secure safety by rapidly and perfectly stopping driving when there is an obstacle or an emergency situation while a power transport vehicle is moved forward or backward, to make the safety device in a simple structure, and to make it work perfectly. In the present invention: a change lever and a rod connecting member are formed into one body and installed on a shaft; a brake rod and clutch rod are installed on the rod connecting member; a safety device operating lever is installed on the shaft; a return spring is installed on the safety device operating lever to be connected to a top frame; and an operating hole with a guide groove is connected to the clutch rod and the rod connecting member on the safety device operating lever. According to the present invention, when a power transport vehicle is moved forward or backward and faces an obstacle, the vehicle is stopped by lowering a safety lever downward, not by pushing the safety device in the direction of driving. Thus, the present invention can rapidly and perfectly stop the power transport vehicle regardless of driving speed. The safety device can be made into a simple structure, leading to reduced costs and improved reliability in the operation of a safety device. |
