PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of suppressing the performance degradation of a catalyst layer, while improving the power generation efficiency during intermittent operation.SOLUTION: When a required power from a load is equal to or lower than a predetermined value, a controller of a fuel cell system performs an intermittent operation in which the power generation by a fuel cell stack is suppressed by repeatedly stopping and resuming the supply of reaction gas while keeping a power generation voltage of the fuel cell stack within a tolerable voltage range. If a state-of-charge (SOC) increases and exceeds a power storage threshold TH1, the controller raises both an upper limit voltage value EH and a lower limit voltage value EL which define the tolerable voltage range. |
