Provided are a plug and an outlet for identifying a device and a device identifying method using the same. The plug for identifying the device according to the present invention includes a plug insertion hole into which a power plug of a specific device is inserted, a plug pin which is connected to the plug insertion hole and is inserted into a socket of the outlet, and a tag part which is in contact with a tag recognition part of the outlet by forming a pattern corresponding to the specific device. The tag part includes a protrusive tag terminal and a non-protrusive tag terminal. The protrusive tag terminal is in contact with the tag recognition part by forming the pattern. Thereby, the outlet identifies the specific device.
