Introduced is a method to control a diesel combustion sound. According to the present invention, the method to control the diesel combustion sound comprises: a steps of setting a first target value of a crank angle and a second target value of a combustion sound index at a location having a maximum heat generating rate; a step of calculating an X value, a difference between the crank angle and the first target value in a current state of a vehicle, and a Y value, a difference between the combustion sound index and the second target value in the current state of the vehicle; a step of setting a third target value of the Y value about the X value; and a step of adjusting an amount of pilot fuel for a fuel jetted towards an engine in accordance to the difference between the Y value and the third target value, thereby increasing fuel efficiency and reducing combustion sounds. |
