The present invention relates to a passive autocatalytic recombiner which is used in removing hydrogen effectively generated in the event of an accident in a nuclear power plant. The present invention provides an apparatus for reducing hydrogen ignition of the passive autocatalytic recombiner which can prevent hydrogen ignition due to over-heating effectively by reducing the amount of flowed-in hydrogen by mechanically controlling the area of an inlet hole of the autocatalytic recombiner, through which a mixed gas is flowed, by generating electricity using a temperature difference between the inside and the outside of the autocatalytic recombiner. For this, the apparatus of the present invention includes: a case formed with an inlet hole and an outlet hole through which the mixed gas containing hydrogen introduced and discharged; a metal plate which is coated with a catalyst including chemical reaction with the mixed gas introduced through the inlet hole; an opening/closing door which opens and closes a flow of the mixed gas introduced through the inlet hole; an actuator for driving the opening/closing door to be rotated; and a power supply unit which supplies electricity to the actuator. |
