The present invention relates to a power converting device of a printer. The present invention comprises: a conveying gear train (340) for transmitting power to a platen roller (410) from a printer; and a cutting gear train (330) for transmitting power to a cutting device (320) of printing papers, which is arranged on top of a supporting frame (310), wherein the power of a power motor (360) can be converted to the conveying gear train (340) and the cutting gear train (330) through a power converting part (350) depending on the rotating direction of the motor using a single power motor (360). The power converting part (350) consists of: a solar gear (351) for receiving power directly from a driving gear (361) connected to an end of the power motor (360); a planetary gear (352) for receiving a rotating force by interlocking with the solar gear (351) and selectively gearing with the cutting gear train (330) and the conveying gear train (340); and a rotating link (353) having a rotational axis part (353a) and a gear axis part (353b) protruding horizontally to restrict the positions of the solar gear (351) and the planetary gear (352). A pressurizing means (P) for enhancing adhesion during a power converting process is installed on either or both of the solar gear (351) and the planetary gear (352) of the power converting part (350). |
