<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper money processing device and a paper money processing method for identifying paper money delivered from each cabinet by an identification part, and for branching the paper money conveyed on a loop-shaped first conveyance path to a second conveyance path, and for conveying the paper money from the second conveyance path to any of a binding part, a money reception/payment port and a payment rejection part.SOLUTION: A conveyance part 30 is configured of a loop-shaped first conveyance path arranged at the upper part of a plurality of cabinets 40, and formed with an identification part 31; and a second conveyance path configured to branch the paper money from the loop-shaped first conveyance path, and to convey the paper money to any of a binding part 50, a money reception/payment port 20 and a payment rejection part 26. The paper money delivered from each cabinet 40 is branched from the first conveyance path to the second conveyance path, and the paper money is conveyed to any of the binding part 50, the money reception/payment port 20 and the payment rejection part 26 on the basis of an identification result by the identification part 31.</p> |
