PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology of detecting gestures through simple processing with high accuracy.SOLUTION: A gesture detection apparatus 1 includes: a table holding section 12 which holds a first table for holding information on a first coordinate value indicating a position of a detection object 60 in a first coordinate axis, and a second table for holding information on a second coordinate value indicating a position of the detection object 60 in a second coordinate axis perpendicular to the first coordinate axis; a table updating section 11 which updates information on the first coordinate value in the first table, on the basis of the first coordinate values sequentially input, and updates information on the second coordinate value in the second table, on the basis of the second coordinate values sequentially input; and a gesture detection section 13 which detects a motion pattern of the detection object 60, on the basis of the first and second tables. |
