PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon nanotube array transfer method and a carbon nanotube structure production method.SOLUTION: The inventive carbon nanotube array transfer method comprises: a first step in which a substitute substrate and a growth substrate are provided and the growth substrate has a carbon nanotube array on the surface thereof; a second step in which the substitute substrate is placed on the second surface of the carbon nanotube array and a liquid phase-state vehicle is placed between substitute substrate and carbon nanotube array; a third step in which the liquid phase-state vehicle placed between substitute substrate and carbon nanotube array is solidified into solid vehicle; a forth step in which at least one of the substitute substrate and the growth substrate is moved to detach the carbon nanotube array from the growth substrate and transfer to the substitute substrate; and a fifth step in which, by increasing the temperature, the solid vehicle between the substitute substrate and the second surface of carbon nanotube array is removed.
