PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight device of a both-surface display device that can suppress deviation and unevenness of luminance of both surfaces of a light guide plate.SOLUTION: Respective elastic members 25 receive equal forces in mutually opposite directions to elastically deform, and a light guide plate 3 has its edge held at a predetermined position in a vertical direction where the forces that the respective elastic members 25 receive balance with each other. Further, the respective elastic members 25 are arranged and fixed at respective fixation positions (light guide body support surfaces 22b of respective panel chassis 22) for light emission surfaces of respective LEDs 12a. Consequently, fixation positions of the respective elastic members 25 for optical axes M of the respective LEDs 12a are suitably set, and then the light guide plate 3 only has its edge held between the respective elastic members 25, so that the center (the predetermined position in the vertical direction) of an end face 3a of the light guide plate 3 can be positioned according to the optical axes M of the respective LEDs 12a. |
